I strive for independence. I believe identity is an important aspect of ourselves we must fight to control, despite the growing demand for all girls to look like runway barbie dolls and for all men to have perfect, chisled abs and a surfer tan.

I'm also sensitive when it comes to social justice. If anybody I know, well or not, has family problems or friend problems or…any kind of problems, I try to help. Sure, I land myself in situations that don't involve me whatsoever, but it's worth it in the end when the person I helped smiles at me and gives me a rare yet genuine “thank you.”

I am outspoken, but I'm gentle about it; I don't enjoy forcing my opinions on others, but I love speaking my mind and I love hearing other people speak their mind as well. It's getting harder and harder to find people who care about what's going on in the world nowadays, so it's great to have a stimulating and semi-intelligent conversation every now and then.
